As part of its continued growth and evolution as a leader in landscape architecture and urban design, ASPECT Studios is delighted to announce the appointment of a new, non-executive director to its board of directors, as well as three new shareholders.
Nancy Fox (AM)
Nancy is passionate about creating sustainable places, and aligned with ASPECT Studio’s purpose, she strongly believes in the relationship between the human and natural environments. She has a wealth of experience as a non-executive director, is allied to the practice’s global thinking and has played a significant role in developing and leading successful businesses for over 20 years, in Australia and internationally.
Additionally, ASPECT Studios has granted three key team members the ultimate promotion, making Tom Griffith (studio director), Michael Rowlands (studio director) and Adam Kiekebosch (infrastructure director) official shareholders.
“Tom, Michael and Adam have not only proven their ability to design and deliver projects which improve our cities and places in thoughtful, creative and sustainable ways, but they have demonstrated leadership to grow and develop our business in line with our purpose,” says ASPECT Studios chair and founder, Chris Razzell.
Buchan has made five new appointments to its global design team with leadership promotions announced across its Perth, Auckland and Christchurch studios.
Rhys Maxwell, Christchurch
Maxwell is an enthusiastic and collaborative design leader with international experience working on a wide range of projects from rail terminals to boutique residential terrace houses, in New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and Fiji. His interests lie in masterplanning, placemaking, sustainability, and community centric and cultural design.
Hynes’ input as a senior architect spans nearly a decade at Buchan. Her portfolio includes an array of projects across New Zealand in retail, mixed-use and commercial developments. Hynes brings an enviable breadth of skill and a collaborative spirit in working with developers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure a consistently high level of design quality and delivery is achieved.
Paladin is an experienced project designer who has worked on a range of projects across Italy, China and Australia. His skillset lies in multi-residential, retail, mixed-use, edu-cation and civic buildings of various scales, from masterplanning to interior design.
Pieters has extensive experience with conceptual design and specialises in early stage design development, facilitating the high-level decision-making process. He is a lateral thinker and likes to challenge conventions. He has a passion for detail design resolution and ensuring that the conceptual thinking is effectuated throughout the design process, resulting in a well-rounded and polished final product.
Hunting’s career spans 23 years in architecture, working across many sectors including mixed-use, education, retail and commercial. He brings to Buchan an invaluable area of expertise and knowledge in BIM software.
design worldwide partnership welcomes the relocation of one of the design groups key executives Charlie Kelly to oversee the future expansion of the business in the Middle East and into Europe.
Currently regional managing director for Asia and the Middle East, Charlie is now based in the Dubai studio. This follows closely on the appointment of Leonard Lee to the role of dwp global leader for the hospitality design sector.
From the centre of London, to the centre of Perth, senior architect Martin Bradbury has joined the Western Australian Studio of growing national design firm Hames Sharley.
Martin Bradbury
Martin Bradbury has more than 15 years of architectural experience in Australia and Europe, specialising in large-scale urban regeneration. While in the United Kingdom, Bradbury developed a keen interest in how urban regeneration can transform inner-city environments and the role of architects in creating sustainable built environments.
Hassell announced promotions en masse in late August, with a total of 59 team members across 9 locations globally receiving deserved recognition, while giving rise to 6 new principals internationally.
Siren Design is proud to announce the appointment of Nicole Fitzgerald as the new managing director for its Sydney studio. Previously the regional director, workplace strategy and change management, Pacific at CBRE, this move represents an opportunity for Fitzgerald to leverage her creative, strategic approach and unique client-side knowledge to expand the Siren Design offering.
