Schiavello celebrated its milestone 50th anniversary on Wednesday 13th July.
Over 650 staff past and present, along with special guests gathered from around Australia and abroad to attend the black tie event held at Penninsula, in Melbourne’s Docklands. A celebration of Schiavello’s history and Italian heritage, the Central Pier venue was transformed into a ‘night at the piazza’ complete with Italian inspired décor and music.
3AW’s David Mann hosted the evening and presented a touching ‘This Is Your Life’ tribute which gave a unique insight into the company’s foundations, growth and achievements. Former and present employees were invited to share stories live on stage alongside Tony, Joe and Peter Schiavello.
Australian comedian Shane Jacobson entertained guests as a roving reporter throughout the evening, in addition to live performances from opera singers and Italian duo, Kato. The evening was complemented with Atlantic Group’s first-class food and hospitality.
