The official launch of the 2024 WA Architect Awards opens today – Wednesday 1st May – with the opening of the AIA WA Awards Exhibition.

The official launch of the 2024 WA Architect Awards opens with an exhibition of the projects included in the awards program and is open to the general public for a week from today, Wednesday 1st May, at Central Park, Perth.
The exhibition and Architecture Awards celebrate Western Australia’s architects and their achievements, paying tribute to those who influence and contribute immensely to our communities and built environments.
Affordable housing, medium-density projects and sustainability are hot topics highlighted within the award program and award contenders this year. In total, there are 63 entries in this year’s Awards program, while the total cost of projects as part of the Awards is a remarkable $1.083 billion.
Projects include those in the metro area and as far away as Esperance, Geraldton, South Hedland, Albany, Yallingup, Eagle Bay, Busselton and Kalgoorlie. Seven projects address the hot topic of multi-res housing, while a notable category for 2024 is Education with eight projects showcasing the improvement of existing campuses across the state.

The exhibition launch takes place at Central Park Ground Floor Lobby 152-158 St Georges Tce, Perth, from 6-8pm on Wednesday 1st May 2024.
