The change in the workplace is being experienced across all of Australia. And as we return to the office en masse, new doors of hybrid working have opened. By embracing these changes, so too does our environment.
It can be difficult with the change of lifestyle with the noise, lack of privacy and change to your schedule. However, workplace furniture designer and manufacturer Schiavello, has brought forward a modern answer.
Its new sofa collection, Valli, is designed to foster an escape to pause, recharge and reconnect in the post-COVID workplace.
Evolution of comfort
Hailing from Schiavello’s knowledge-led design approach, Valli’s release comes as workplaces evolve further towards employee wellbeing and the distinction between home and workspaces continues to overlap.
“Our purpose is to enhance the behaviours of modern professionals by facilitating their new and evolving needs,” explains Peter Schiavello, managing director at Schiavello.
“Today, employees need a variety of focused and collaborative environments to reflect, recharge and connect. A dedicated space, close in proximity but distant in energy,” he continues.
The collection responds to this shift proactively, cultivating a feeling of calm and empowering teams to use this dedicated quiet space however serves them best: creativity, collaboratively or for rejuvenation.

A peaceful retreat
Versatility defines the Valli Collection and its hero product, Valli Cove, which provides a peaceful retreat within the workplace. With an ergonomic design, Valli speaks to its placement.
Users are enveloped in the insular comfort of upholstered walls, providing both visual and audio privacy. The high-back design is conducive to tranquillity and clear thinking whilst serving as a protective barrier for the user.
Functionality also runs through Valli. With built-in power charging outlets, the sofa allows individuals to prosper beyond the desk. And the Valli collection is portable by design and can effortlessly be moved and placed to give any space a place of rest.
A style of choice
The detail of Valli shines from its malleable design to the subtlest function. Adaptable to the needs of every individual office, the sofa’s on hand come with a colour palette that is considered and cohesive, with nearly endless choice.
The back walls can adjust in tall or small heights and give the option of one to three seats per sofa. The product reflects Schiavello’s current evolution, merging their workplace industry expertise with their polished design aesthetic and quality craftsmanship.
Regarding his debut collection, Schiavello design studio designer, Alistair Obliubek, says Valli “has been designed for the contemporary corporate world: multi-purpose and tech-enabled in function, while tailored and structured in form. Balancing comfort and sophistication in equal measure.”
As a place of pause for workers in office settings, Valli may just be the moment of solace we’re seeking in our shifting office environments.
