For the first time in its history, the public is invited to vote in the NSW Architecture Awards, a program presented by the Australian Institute of Architects.

Recognising the best architecture projects across the state the NSW Architecture Awards covers everything from homes, professional workspaces and more.
With the public finally getting their chance to vote for awards themed under ‘Life in 2020’ this is an opportunity for both everyday enthusiasts and professionals to have a say in these prestigious awards.
Definitely fitting into the ‘This is 2020’ theme, the categories in the NSW People’s Choice Awards for Life in 2020 are:
NSW chapter president Kathlyn Loseby says that the we are appreciating the quality of our spaces more than ever before and wants the public to get excited about exploring the best new architecture projects.
‘The introduction of the people’s choice awards is a response to the challenges we face in 2020. As such, we would like everyone to be thinking more about architecture and the places that surround us following a period of lockdown restrictions,’ she says. ‘I encourage everyone to vote for their favourite projects.’
2020 will also mark the first time that audiences will be able to watch the awards ceremony, previously reserved for members only, via a free YouTube livestream.
Voting for the people’s choice awards is now open and closes on Thursday 18 June. Cast your vote at the website here.
Winners will be announced at the 2020 NSW Architecture Awards presentation via YouTube livestream on 3 July at 7.00pm – 8.00pm.
