Inside Bangkok’s Siam Paragon Mall, L’Atelier by Dinding Design Office celebrates the artistry of independent watchmaking through a space defined by light, craft and meticulous detail.
November 13th, 2025
Nestled within Siam Paragon Mall in Bangkok, L’Atelier is operated by The Hour Glass, one of the largest luxury watch retailers in the Asia Pacific. With this in mind, Dinding Design Office set out to create an immersive, intentional space directly inspired by the unparalleled craftsmanship of skilled independent watchmakers.
Patrons are welcomed into a futuristic, space-like environment where an expansive, layered illuminated ceiling creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadow throughout the interiors. An olive-green carpet introduces immediate warmth, fostering a comfortable, refined and intimate retail experience.

At the heart of the boutique lies a striking stainless-steel-lined wall, seamlessly integrating built-in shelving, glass display showcases and a consultation lounge. These sweeping, organic forms serve as both a functional backdrop and a sculptural invitation, evoking curiosity and gently drawing patrons deeper into the collection of exquisite timepieces.
Anchoring the centre of the space is a series of bespoke display islands and a consultation bar, crafted from rich Alpi burl wood and polished metal. Together they form a defining focal point that balances material richness with precision. Every detail within the store has been meticulously considered to reflect the intricacy, discipline and distinct geometry of high watchmaking.

L’Atelier thus emerges as a singular environment where light, design and technical perfection converge — a retail experience that mirrors the beauty of horological craftsmanship.
The design challenge was formidable: the store had to be completed within a four-week fit-out period. To meet this deadline, the team devised efficient, construction-light solutions that preserved the full design intent. The result demonstrates how a retail space can be elevated to new heights through a well-executed narrative and attention to design detail — proving that precision, like time itself, is the ultimate luxury.
