Inspired by the colours, details and materials of founder Victor Carrasco’s Spanish hometown, Viccarbe embodies the warmth and relaxation of Mediterranean life.

Season Chair and Trestle Table - Viccarbe
May 18th, 2023
Valencia is one of Spain’s most celebrated coastal cities, nestled along the Eastern coast and playing host to millions of visitors each year. Sunny weather, idealistic sandy beaches and quirky festivals are part of Valencia’s iconography – contributing to the relaxed, outdoor way of life that inspired Victor Carrasco in his creation of Viccarbe.

The details, colours and materials of each collection are heavily influenced by the creative power of sunlight. As a city which enjoys more than 300 days of sun per year, warmth and light are an integral part of the Valencian ethos. The Viccarbe collection is defined by simplicity, comfort and easy approachability. Today it lives in such places as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Takasaki City Theatre in Japan, the ME Hotel in Barcelona, the Dior headquarters in Shanghai and the Regus and Spaces coworking offices in Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Every piece of Viccarbe furniture is as diverse and energetic as the designers themselves. The minimalist Trestle table by John Pawson provides a visually light centre point for collaborative spaces, promoting free creativity and equality. Pawson has also adapted his design for the outdoor scene, creating the versatile and durable Trestle Outdoor Table to transform outdoor spaces into comfortable meeting points for collaborative spaces, lounges and offices.

Piero Lissoni’s Season Chair has a distinct allure which serves as a comfortable dining chair for offices, homes and restaurants. Its charming character and rounded edges create a welcoming atmosphere which can be customised to suit the aesthetics of a space with a variety of fabrics and configurations. The Season Outdoor Chair is a robust extension of the unique geometric design seen in the Season Chair, with hidden casters on its base to facilitate smooth movement.

The new Burin Table gives continuity to the Burin family including the side table which was also designed by Patricia Uriquiola. Created for both home and community spaces, the Burin Table is exceptionally durable with a scratch-resistant lacquer and 20 mm thick work surface made with microtextured MDF. The table’s elegant and sculptural silhouette is preserved in the Burin Outdoor Table, which merges the visual appeal of the indoor table with the robust strength of materials best suited to outdoor spaces.

The Aleta Chair by Jamie Hayon is another iconic piece by Viccarbe, highly customisable and available in the Flat Swivel, Pyramid Swivel and more. The Viccarbe Penta Armchair strikes a regal figure in any office, merging comfort with dynamism in collaborative spaces.
Viccarbe is available today via Space Furniture.
