By now, there’s no doubt that the workplace is in the throes of massive change. The way we work has completely evolved, and as a consequence, the spaces in which we work have changed almost beyond all recognition. Now, our work habits inform our workspaces and vice versa, with the cyclical process showing no signs of letting up. Across the board in the corporate, design, and technology worlds, the questions on everyone’s lips are: how can this change be managed? What’s next on the horizon?

Kicking off in Barangaroo on Thursday March 20, WORKTECH18 Sydney will grapple with these two questions and more, interrogating the future of work and the workplace. In particular, the speaker series will take a closer look at the nexus between real estate, technology, and innovation, and speculate on what’s still to come for one of the world’s most rapidly – and radically – evolving commercial sectors.

Part of the WORKTECH international workplace conference series, WORKTECH18 Sydney is the latest event to be held in a string of major global cities including London, New York, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Shanghai, and Singapore. The event will attract some of the biggest and brightest names in the upper echelons of design, technology, real estate, and executive management, and is expected to bring together over 300 senior professionals from a breadth of fields.

As always, the line-up at this year’s WORKTECH event features a number of cross-disciplinary heavyweights from some of the world’s most successful companies and progressive, influential organisations. Highlights include Harald Becker, Design Strategist at Microsoft Envisioning, Dr Agustin Chevez, Senior Researcher at HASSELL, and Monique De Cseuz, Retail Development Manager at LendLease.

Also speaking at the unmissable event is Naomi Tosic, co-founder of The Office Space, Nick Todd, Head of Workplace Experience Projects and Real Estate at Atlassian, and Catherine Ann Torkington, Manager Workplace Change and Real Estate Services at Aurizon. All will bring their unique perspectives and experiences to the table, making for a diverse, richly textured line up that is sure to educate and inspire.
