Stephen Burks’ entire portfolio is characterised by a pluralistic vision of design that is inclusive of all cultural perspectives. His Man Made project bridges the gap between authentic developing world production, industrial manufacturing and contemporary design. From his New York studio – Stephen Burks’ Man Made – he pushes the world’s leading design-driven brands even further into a arena of unmatched vision and creative expertise … always with a solutions-driven perspective. Recently returning from Milan where he exhibited The Others – for DEDON’s Hideaway Beach – Burks was rightly applauded for an exotic collection of animated lanterns and extensions to his award-winning collections Brixx, Tibbo and Mbrace.
