FYI: All our exhibitor showrooms have been grouped into four distinct areas around Melbourne – City North, City South, City Central and Richmond.
Here we walk you through our City Central showrooms to give you an idea of what to expect on Saturday 22 June, A.K.A. D-Day.
City Central will have you engaged and inspired with an array of pop-up exhibitions, product launches, installations and inspiring talks.

One of Australia’s iconoclastic design brands, Stylecraft, is all set to be transformed for Saturday Indesign. The brand’s recently-renovated Melbourne showroom will bring alive the conceptual themes of HOME, WORK and LEARN through some mind-boggling design previews.
Location: Ground and Lower Ground
HOME will be seen partnering with Meanwhile in Melbourne’s Manuela Millan. Meanwhile in Melbourne was founded by Manuela and specialises in promoting local design talent. Manuela plans to bring HOME to life with a pop-exhibition of artworks, sculptures and ceramics by a selection of Melbourne’s most talented creatives. Speaking about the event, the designer says, “You will be able to move through the space and appreciate the curated works, with StylecraftHOME serving as the perfect backdrop to see it all in context.’
Note: The exhibition will run for a week leading up to Saturday Indesign, as well as a week after.

Location: Levels One and Two
From HOME, journey up to WORK on Level One and come face-to-face with new commercial furniture collections by local designers like Tom Skeehan, Ross Gardam and Keith Melbourne.
LEARN, on the other hand, will bring you up-close-and-personal with a new range of stylish and functional task chairs, learning chairs as well as modular pieces by international brands like Arper and Akaba.

Stylecraft is also giving away two Libera Armchairs, designed by Stua. These beautiful Italian chairs have been designed by Jesus and Jon Gasca features a classic silhouette expressed in the fluid way in which the legs and armrests connect. Check in on the WIN page for more details.

Brickworks’ new Melbourne showroom is next on our list of amazing venues in City Central. This fabulous new space provides architects, designers and industry professionals, access to some of the best and latest in building materials. For Saturday Indesign, Brickworks will come alive with a unique installation as well as an illuminating talk by industry specialists.

Here’s what to expect:
Topic: On Belonging – Narrative & Cultural Expression in Architecture and Design
Description: What are the stories we tell through design? This talk will explore design and architecture as a means to communicate or to reflect, the cultural and historical narratives that can shape our cities and identities.

Eugenia Lim – Artist
The custom installation is a creative collaboration between SJB and Brickworks. As a firm, SJB is known for creating built environments that are intelligent, robust, engaging and responsive. Created especially for Saturday Indesign, SJB will take you into a new realm of design through AR technology.

The elegant and refined Sub-Zero Wolf showroom is one venue that you simply cannot miss.

Adele Bates will be featured in a talk at the showroom, alongside Mim Design and DKO. More details coming soon.
Omvivo is working with renowned interior designer Adele Bates to create something exclusive, transforming the showroom into a place of inspiration. Adele Bates has worked with Sub-Zero before when she designed the brand’s Chadstone showroom. Expect nothing short of exemplary on the day.
