Singapore’s annual design event adds an exciting new initiative to its 2012 program.
October 10th, 2011
The International Furniture Fair Singapore, which partners the ASEAN Furniture Show every March, is one of the fastest growing fairs in the world. Begun in 1981, the 2011 Fair recorded a 20.8% increase in visitor numbers compared to 2010.
One factor in this growth was the addition in 2011 of the Deco Asia and Hospitality components.
Now the organisers have announced another initiative, the Hospitality.Design.Furniture CONVERGE Asia 2012 conference. This 2 day event, to be held concurrently with the Fair, will bring together more than 200 professionals including designers, architects, developers, retailers, manufacturers, hoteliers and consumers to canvas the latest trends and debate emerging ideas.
Along with ongoing features such as the guest lectures, Designers’ Space, PLATFORM (emerging designers), No Boundaries award and the IFFS awards, the new conference will add even greater dimension to an already fascinating annual design event in Singapore.
