The collection by Carpets Inter juxtaposes sleek, eco-friendly commerical carpet with the rugged, violent tendencies of the volcano to wonderous effect.

Grey Charcoal Yellow Office
Carpets Inter’s latest carpet collection, dubbed ‘Beneath the Surface’ is a volcanic-like range of commercial carpets, inspired by the movement of lava as it flows underground and the textures left behind on the earth’s surface as it cools.
Designed to capture the disruptive nature, movement and aftermath of a volcanic eruption, Beneath The Surface is a stylish, sustainable option available to Australian designers and commercial offices through Above Left.

Versatile in its nature, Beneath The Surface is able to be seamlessly blended with other collections by Carpets Inter, such as the Flatlands collection.
The collection provides a dynamic sense of flow and movement in very natural colour tones with the occasional emergence of hot lava, gem like formations within the cracks or the rebirth of nature as grass and moss begins to grow on the devastated landscape.
Beneath the surface is now available in Australia as a 250mm x 1000mm plank carpet tile in 9 different colours. All colours are named after formidable volcanoes, such as Krakatoa with its deep blues and greys, Fuji, an emulsion of khaki and silverish grey, and Merapi, that mixes blood red with shades of grey and black. All stock available within the range is placed on top of EcoSoft acoustic cushion backing, that absorbs twice as much sound as standard carpet, and is up to 40 times more permeable than most other modular carpet tiles.
Above Left is a proudly Australian owned and sustainably focused company, intent on doing good by the environment, as seen within its current recycling campaigns. As of today, Above Left have recycled 746 million plastic bottles and have a goal of recycling 1 billion bottles by 2025. Above Left’s EcoSoft carpet is a true eco carpet, as every time you use EcoSoft tiles, you are choosing a sustainable future. EcoSoft contains the equivalent of 50 recycled standard 550ml PET bottles per square metre, putting millions of discarded water bottles to a very good use.

Carpets Inter’s Beneath The Surface commercial carpet range is available now via Above Left. To purchase or to receive more information, head to aboveleft.com.au.
