Born in London but based in Melbourne, this super-funky furniture design company, Yellow Diva, is all about colour.
June 30th, 2008
Originally from London, Yellow Diva began as a partnership between Australian industrial designer, David Walley and English architect, James Davis.
Furniture was the medium that connected these two disciplines, with both halves drawn to the sculptural abilities of the designs.
Once established as Yellow Diva, Felicity Joll – who, like Davis, has an architectural background – joined the boys as Creative Director.
Now firmly based in Melbourne, Yellow Diva’s Abbotsford showroom presents an entire attention-grabbing collection of energetic, vibrant designs.
Beautiful, dynamic, engaging and tactile describes the collection. Contemporary chairs, stools and chaise lounges are designed in close relation to the fluid forms and lines of the human body, delivering a product proved to be comfortable, practical and lasting. Not to mention uplifting.
Yellow Diva will be involved in Saturday in Design 2008, which is set to take over Melbourne this August. Check out the showroom from August 8-9.
