M/Connect is a new USB docking station created by Humanscale to seamlessly integrate IT requirements with ergonomic needs.

Computer technology advances rapidly. This significantly shortens the longevity of most IT products. The new M/Connect by Humanscale takes on a universal approach to enable organisations to future-proof their computer and monitor purchases for the long run.
M/Connect is a new USB docking station that works in tandem with Humanscale’s monitor arms, fulfilling IT requirements and ergonomic needs. Besides concealing unsightly cables and keeping the work desk free from clutter, M/Connect increases user productivity and efficiency, as well as enhances mobility within the workspace – in keeping with Humanscale’s longstanding mission.
The docking system in M/Connect has been uniquely separated into two parts above and under the surface.
Integrated into the top section of the monitor arm clamp, the hub above the surface provides immediate access to various changeable ports required throughout the day, such as USBs for external hard drives, optical drives, or high-speed charging stations for phones and tablets.
Integrated into the bottom of the clamp, the dock under the surface conceals permanent connections, such as the mouse, keyboard, Ethernet, monitors, printers and scanners.
In this way, all cables are removed from the desktop except for an upstream cable that connects the laptop to the dock. This reduces the risks of users messing up cable settings.
Unlike the majority of hard docks, the USB Docking station supports two external monitors plus the laptop display – productivity has been proven to increase significantly with more displays, as it cuts down the user’s need to toggle between applications within a single screen.
Display adapters are also supported, which can be purchased separately to allow more than two external displays.
Humanscale was founded in 1983 by Robert King with a focus on high-performance tools that support a healthy, more active way of working. Today, it is the pioneer and leader of office ergonomics, creating products that allow workstations to adapt to the user, and not the other way around.
