Stormtech’s new angle on linear drains

The inventor of the linear drain, Stormtech’s new designs feature striking angles, refined colours and seamless integration.

Stormtech’s new angle on linear drains

For the last 30 years, Stormtech has been providing inspiring architectural drainage solutions to architects and designers across the country. Used in bathrooms, showers, thresholds, paved areas, driveways, pools and pool surrounds, Stormtech grates and drains are known for their sleek design, innovation and practicality.

Stormtech have expanded their range of linear drainage solutions with the 100TiXi20MTL Single Slot Tile Insert Drain and two elegant linear grate designs, the PAS (Punched Angle Slot Design) and PPS (Punched Perpendicular Slot Design). Stormtech have also introduced the Black uPVC range of drainage channels, which can add depth and contrast to any drainage system, and a selection of metallic finishes for their range of designer grates.

The 100TiXi20TML linear drainage system is an ultra-minimal, 100mm wide Tile Insert drain that can be used to create perfectly seamless bathroom drainage. This system allows tiles of up to 10mm, offering a shallow channel profile of just 23mm total depth. Made-to-length to a specified outlet size and position,  the 100TiXi20TML can be blended flawlessly with the chosen tile or designer hard surface.

The PAS and PPS range of linear grates offer the ability to enhance new projects with sleek, angular designs that can elevate modern interiors or compliment existing tiling and decor. These new grate designs are available in modular systems in both 100mm and 65mm wide grates, and also in made-to-length units.

When building or renovating, luxurious finishes and a creative use of colour are not just limited to tiles and tap fittings. To achieve an instant on-trend aesthetic, Stormtech’s Black uPVC channels can be combined with stainless steel and metallic colour grates for a beautiful visual contrast, or matched with black powdercoated grates for a luxurious yet refined finish. This unique channel is available with Stormtech’s complete range of 100mm grate designs.

Coloured designer grates from Stormtech have become a feature in wet areas, including bathrooms where linear drainage is used in open shower concepts. Stormtech has released three new metallic finishes to provide homeowners with more decorative solutions for interiors that are predominantly white or neutral. Reflecting worldwide design trends, these new options include the warm metal colours of Black, Bronze, Brass and Copper. As a durable and seamless drainage option, these new metallic designer grates are suited to a variety of interior styles, from minimalist through to rustic chic or industrial.

Made of high-quality 316 stainless steel and manufactured in Australia, all Stormtech architectural grates and drains are either made-to-length or modular, which means they can be cut on-site to different lengths as required, and come in three standard widths (38mm, 65mm and 100mm). Custom fabrication is available to meet site-specific requirements, with the Stormtech team providing detailed assistance from design through to installation.

All Stormtech drains connect directly with all standard plumbing fittings. With a proud commitment to eco-friendly design, Stormtech is the only linear drainage system available with full Greentag and Watermark certification across all drainage products.
