Thousands of ‘black gems’ fly through the air in this pop-up store for Hublot in Singapore
October 10th, 2012
A gem of an explosion took place recently at Paragon Shopping Centre in Singapore in the form of Hublot’s first ever pop-up store.
Conceived by Asylum, the installation took inspiration from Hublot’s premium Big Bang timepiece series, which is known for its ultra-light design, advanced features, and fusion of styles and precious materials.
The black gems were made of cardboard and visitors were invited to guess how many pieces made up the installation which hung suspended across two floors.
The competition has ended and the word is out! Asylum tells us that a total of 36,000 ’gems’ were used.
