The Archibald Prize is one of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious art awards. JF Archibald’s primary aims were to foster portraiture, support artists and perpetuate the memory of great Australians.
Since its inception in 1921 the prize has been awarded to some of Australia’s most important artists, including George Lambert, William Dobell and Brett Whiteley.
NAWIC, in collaboration with CBRE, are hosting a special luncheon and tour of this year’s Archibald display at the Art Gallery of NSW.

The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) will “Chase the Dark” across the globe on 14 November 2013, with a series of temporary lighting installations demonstrating the power of light in urban communities. Three new cities will participate in this coordinated, global event: Sydney, Australia; Toronto, ON Canada; and Atlanta, GA USA. UK-based lighting manufacturer acdc LED Ltd. is the global sponsor for this event, and will provide the lighting equipment for each city.
