Get ready for the next big thing in furniture design

The 8th annual Andreu World International Design Competition is now open, calling for students and professionals in the field of design to get their entries in before September.
The brief set by Andreu World asks for the design of a chair and/or table, with specifically Beech, Oak or Walnut timber used as the main material, to promote the characteristic Andreu World aesthetic.
The qualities looked for in the products include innovation in design, quality, technology and production processes, adaption to the philosophy of Andreu World, production costs, functionality, viable mass production possibilities and versatility.
Proving the prestige of the competition, internationally renowned designer Johnny Chamaki won the competition in 2005.
1st prize recieves 4,000 euros.
