Archifest: Time To Exhale

Following this year’s theme ‘Exhale’, Archifest 2016 seeks to challenge the rapidity and density of activities that define our pace of life, weigh in on the state of Singapore’s built environment and breathe new life into it.

The annual Archifest will return for its 10th edition from 23 September to 9 October 2016 to celebrate Singapore’s urban environment. and delve into a wider discussion about the city, spaces, and life here.

The Archifest Pavilion is back after a hiatus last year. The winning pavilion design, by a team from DP Architects, is composed entirely of construction site materials in the form of safety netting suspended on a frame of steel scaffolding. The gigantic technicolour urban sculpture, which plays on the interaction of multiple primary colour layers that overlap, will once again host a variety of Archifest programmes at Raffles Place Park, 5 Raffles Place, from exhibitions to conversations, workshops, markets and more.
