The annual Archifest will return for its 10^th edition from 23 September to 9 October 2016 to celebrate Singapore’s urban environment. and delve into a wider discussion about the city, spaces, and life here.

The Archifest Pavilion is back after a hiatus last year. The winning pavilion design, by a team from DP Architects, is composed entirely of construction site materials in the form of safety netting suspended on a frame of steel scaffolding. The gigantic technicolour urban sculpture, which plays on the interaction of multiple primary colour layers that overlap, will once again host a variety of Archifest programmes at Raffles Place Park, 5 Raffles Place, from exhibitions to conversations, workshops, markets and more.

The line-up covers more than 30 events. Highlights include:

– Architours: The signature, curated event of Archifest will once again offer a series of guided tours to award-winning and lesser-known architectural sites in Singapore.

– City-Studio: This programme brings the intellectual conversations within design studios out into the city. Through these informal lunchtime sessions, participants can find out more about what goes on behind the design process in architecture studios.

– Conversations: Architects, designers, artists and special guests with interesting projects share insights into their work in a series of intimate talks.

– SIA Architectural Design Awards 2016 Exhibition displays the winners of this year’s award.

– SILA Student Design Awards 2016 Exhibition features the best green ideas from local and international students.

– Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards 2015 Exhibition: The biennial event recognises landscape architecture projects that have shaped Singapore’s City in a Garden vision. This exhibition showcases the winners of 2015.
