In celebration of 160 years of continuous local manufacturing, Godfrey Hirst proudly introduces the Heritage Loom Collection, a design-led carpet plank range that draws on our deep-rooted history in textile production and reinterprets it for today’s commercial interiors.
Designed and made in Australia, the Heritage Loom Collection pays homage to our origins in Geelong, where our story began in 1865 with the Victorian Woollen and Cloth Manufacturing Company. From weaving flannels and tweeds to pioneering the craft of carpet manufacturing in 1966, we have always been driven by a passion for quality materials and enduring craftsmanship.
This collection is a tribute to the traditional weaving techniques and textile aesthetics that shaped our past. Featuring two distinctive ranges; Modern Twill and French Tweed, each design captures the spirit of iconic fabric constructions and weaving techniques such as twill and tweed, reimagined through contemporary colourways and textures.
By bringing together heritage inspiration and local expertise, the Heritage Loom Collection reinforces our commitment to creating products that not only perform in commercial environments but also tell a story of material innovation and Australian design excellence.
