Marking its fourteenth year, the Shaw Contract Design Awards celebrate and recognise the creative vision of the architects and designers that inspire the community.

Open to all professional interior design and architecture practices, the Shaw Contract Design Awards puts the spotlight on a diverse range of talents from across the globe. Redefining the way design influences living, working, learning and healing, The Awards honour purposeful and authentic creative thinking.
This year’s design award program reached over a staggering number of 700 entries from around the world. Shaw Contract is delighted to announce the 2019 category winners for the impact of their work within the industry segment. A respected panel of ten design professionals was invited to evaluate and review each project and the methods that successfully contributed to the evolving nature of the built environment. A total of 36 category winners were selected and these winning projects will automatically be entered into the final awards program and people’s choice voting.

A huge congratulations to all the participants and Category Winners of the 2019 Shaw Contract Design Awards. Final Winners will be announced in August so stay tuned! A lot of talent was shown across the board, but we’re incredibly thrilled for Architectus, Hot Black, Chaulk Studio, EJE Architecture, SITE Architecture Studio, Baldasso Cortese and PDT Architects for putting Australia on this global stage.
This year’s winners have illustrated the true meaning of how design can engage, inspire and change the way we perceive our spaces. A celebration of the way that design solutions push beyond an aesthetic layer, the Shaw Contract Design Awards continue to impress with creative brilliance every year.
