Klik Systems Australia upgrade their facilities, but don’t forget their workers in the process.
September 22nd, 2009
Klik Systems, Australia’s leading Linear Lighting manufacturer, have recently moved into their new purpose-built premises in Eastern Creek, NSW.
Klik packed up their operations in Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and set off to Sydney’s west – but not without giving full consideration to their loyal workforce.
“Many of the staff have been with Klik for 15 years or more,” says Klik’s Cliff Hadley, “so the fit-out was very important and incorporates semi-open plan offices combined with break-out areas, multiple meeting rooms and a games area.”
Klik have gone above and beyond to create a happy work environment for their employees, even offering a mini bus service to ferry them from the Northern Beaches to the new site.
The 4000m2 facility includes a state-of-the-art powdercoating plant, doubling the throughput of the previous facility and offering powdercoated aluminium up to seven metres in length.
Special attention was paid to lighting in the office areas, employing indirect lighting to provide uniform and balanced lighting.
Welcoming in-house engineering, design facilities and assembly the new premises also makes way for a significant increase in stock holdings of raw materials and components, to help Klik deliver shorter lead-times and higher quality.
