Important kitchen design is something that can never be overstated for a properly designed home – Gaggenau know this and channels it into every facet of their appliance design.
Over 330 years old, Gaggenau is emotional and passionate about kitchen design. Delivering world-leading home appliances like the VG295 220 AU gas cooktop, the company design invites a deeper relationship with the kitchen. Gaggenau is a partner in kitchen design, and with the design loving architect and resident.
A product of European engineering and the highest quality materials, the entire modular 200 series cooktop range has been redesigned and perfected in form and function.
A series of aesthetic modifications include the addition of the quintessential Gaggenau control knob in a black, anodised aluminium finish. Synonymous with the brand’s minimalist, pure design, the control panel has also been re-created utilising the same, timeless finish – ideal for any contemporary kitchen design aesthetic.
Situated seamlessly within the control panel, the knobs are clearly defined by a comforting warm orange lighting system – intelligently indicating whether, for instance, the cooktop is attaining its desired temperature or cooling down once it has been turned off.
Ranging in scale from 28cm to 60cm, this is a cohesive series that fuses state-of-the-art performance with intelligent design. Small in size but not on culinary ambition, the cooktop sees – alongside the gas and induction options – are more specialised options such as the grill and Teppan Yaki.
Matching downdraft ventilation completes the harmonious picture framed in brushed stainless steel with black anodized aluminum control panels. The reoccurrence of the new, rectangular shape in the series adds a visual consistency to the Vario modular system. By utilising the same black, anodized aluminium finish, the new cooktops perfectly complement each other, as well as the corresponding ovens and steam ovens 200 series in their minimalist, purist design.
