Billi is the only boiling and chilled drinking water system to have achieved Gold certification from Global GreentagTM.
June 19th, 2014
Global GreentagTM is a labelling system which provides an independent assessment of the environmental and social efforts Billi has made in developing their products.
Simply, achieving Gold certification means that Billi products are;
— Energy efficient
— Affordable to run
— Have minimal impact on the environment
The process is extensive and included a full life-cycle assessment on the product which was just one of six categories that products are rated on under the Global GreentagTM certification system.
In addition to the LCA, Billi was also rated on the following categories;
Building Synergy
How much more efficient it makes a building.
Health & Ecotoxicity
Deep assessment of how manufacturing and use of the products affects humans.
Biodiversity and Sustainable
Timber Certification
Evaluation of the impact of the product on timber resources
GHG
Greenhouse gas emissions
Social Responsibility and Labour Conditions
The social responsibility of the organisation and the conditions that staff work in.
Billi. Sustainable drinking.
