New designs launched at janie’s ‘furniture party of the year’
November 17th, 2010
Over 100 Architects and Interior Designers attended Janie Collins Interiors’ party showcasing new products from her 6 Melbourne-based furniture designers and suppliers.
Basile & Evans, Feelgood Designs, Insitu, Pierre & Charlotte, Xilo and Yellow Diva all attended to meet the Brisbane design industry who viewed their collections floating over two levels of space surrounded by the Jacaranda trees in full bloom.
The setting was very picturesque and seemed to put everybody in the party spirit on the last Friday night of October.
Brisbane designers were fortunate to view the first product launch in Australia of the Xilo timber stool ranges. Pierre & Charlotte wall and table lighting, the B & E swivel + rocking Glove Chair, Feelgood Design’s rattan Swing chair, Insitu’s Italian seating range and Yellow Diva’s award winning MC1 chair and Fan Deck hanging light were also a first for Queensland viewing.
Designers sat, relaxed and appreciated the outdoor furniture on the much-talked-about artificial grass on the lower level with the attendees lapping up the atmosphere partaking in exquisite tastings of food and an excellent selection of beverages throughout the evening.
