#SID17 is an absolute immersion in Australian architecture and design. And, year-on-year it proves why the entire global design industry needs to get together and present their R&D to push us all forward.
August 18th, 2017
We don’t want to toot our own horn, but it’s not the easiest thing to do. Co-ordinating a city-wide event over several days, in three precincts, with hordes and hordes of visitors.
And this year was no different: #SID17 was a BIG deal! We had more attendees than ever before; we saw more brands from not only Australia, but from across the world!
Indesign: The Event is a success story not because of us. It’s a success because you get behind it. Your brands, your teams and your spirit of innovation get behind us, engage the industry, and guide the event to provide solutions to the diverse needs of our community. Every time Indesign Media opens the curtains on our events, our number one agenda is to match your unique skill-set and enhance it.
#SID17 was our chance to grow, to learn, to engage, to meet, and to translate your expertise into direct business outcomes. Some of us were inspired to rethink our design approach. Others among us rethought our business strategy. And most, still, found that architect, designer, specifier or design solution of our dreams! Architectural firms walked right through showroom doors, met your teams, and marked the beginning of a beautiful long-term partnership. And some of us discovered a whole new audience we never knew was quietly expanding.
We drove growth: personal growth, the growth of teams, of departments, of clientele, of brands and our creative practice as a whole.
But there also a group of very important people who give us the courage and assistance to make sure that your date with design at #SID17 is a success: our Partners. Assisting us with everything from making sure that you can hop on the buses to navigate this huge event, to providing bags to squirrel away the goodies you collect on the day, to making sure you don’t faint from dehydration as you run around the city, to even making sure you can have a dance and a wine to celebrate at the end. Our Official #SID17 Event Partners make sure that tomorrow will be a better designed world. They make sure that you have all the tools you need to innovate and make an impact. And they make sure that the future of our vibrant and diverse industry is always going to be a bright one.
From everyone here at Team #SID17, we wish to say a big ‘thank you’ to each and every one of our stellar #SID17 Partners. Please join us in recognising their incredible generosity, and their never-flagging drive to help, engage and nurture our collective creative efforts:
