Construction has begun on apt.Meadowbank and Meadowbank Corner, a mixed-use build-to-rent and retail precinct designed by AJC Architects.
February 28th, 2025
The Meadowback precinct project is set to bring new housing and retail options to Meadowbank with a focus on sustainability and connectivity. Spanning 7,773 square metres, the development includes 291 apartments across four buildings, designed for flexible, contemporary living. A landscaped central courtyard, co-working areas and a resident lounge aim to foster a sense of community. The retail component, anchored by a 2,500-square-metre Coles supermarket, will include 15 specialty stores offering dining, fresh food and wellness services.
“apt.Meadowbank represents a new era of urban living – where diverse housing options, sustainable design and vibrant public spaces come together to create a true village atmosphere,” says Brian Mariotti, Director at AJC Architects.
Suggested: Forward-looking immersive design in an adaptive reuse setting

The architecture blends with the surrounding area through a mix of brick, stone and metal cladding, with operable screens that provide privacy and shade while enhancing natural ventilation. The buildings incorporate sculptural rooftop forms with integrated greenery, adding to the precinct’s visual and environmental design.
Located opposite Meadowbank Train Station, the development is well connected to public transport, providing easy access to Sydney CBD, Parramatta and Macquarie Park. Also designed with sustainability in mind, the project is fully electric, integrates waste reduction strategies and aims for high Green Star, WELL and WeIS ratings.
With construction by Buildcorp, apt.Meadowbank is scheduled for completion in late 2026, contributing to the area’s continued growth as a connected, mixed-use community.
