Bowling for Cancer returns for its 5th year, bringing together architects, designers, project managers and other industry members to raise money for breast cancer and prostate cancer research.
October 10th, 2011
Stylecraft hosted the first Bowling for Cancer events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in 2007 to raise money for breast cancer research.
Since then, the event has grown to include Canberra, Adelaide and Singapore. Last year saw the fundraiser expand to raise money for prostate cancer research, with all funds split through the Australian Cancer Council.
In Singapore, the proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Over $80,000 has been raised so far. This year, Bowling for Cancer aims to raise $50,000 – its biggest target to date.
Teams of 5 players, with each team donating $150 for the chance to play, take part in the bowling fun. It is expected that around 85 teams from the A&D community will compete. As well as being an excellent cause, with all proceeds going to charity, there are also some great prizes up for grabs for those who take part!
Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Singapore events take place on Thursday 20 October. The Canberra event takes place on Thursday 3 November.
Visit the Bowling for Cancer website for more information about the event and how to register. Don’t miss this chance to mingle with industry peers, flex your bowling arm and raise money for an excellent cause!
