Entries for the Bates Smart Award for Architecture in the Media will close this week, on Friday 1 April.
                March 29th, 2016
The Bates Smart Award for Architecture in the Media recognises talent in the field of design journalism and production, welcoming writers, editors, producers and event organisers to submit work for consideration. The award hopes to encourage thorough and inspired discussion of design and architecture in the media.
The award is limited to Victorian applicants – with the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects calling for entries from those in electronic, print, specialist, popular and online media as well as event organisers and producers. The award also incorporates design podcasts, with RMIT University’s Talking Design radio podcast receiving commendation last year.
All submissions must have been held, broadcast, published or circulated in Victoria within the last 12 months, prior to the closing date of the award.
The 2016 winners will be announced at the 2016 Victorian Architecture Awards Presentation Dinner on Friday 24 June 2016.
