The winners of this year’s Interior Design Awards have been announced. Here are a few of our favourite winning projects.
June 16th, 2016
The Australian Interior Design Awards recognise and celebrate interior design excellence. Announced on Friday 10 June, the 2016 awards captured some of Australia’s most innovative design projects, from established design practices as well as emerging talent. A Darling Point apartment by Chenchow Little took out the top prize, for its rich, honeyed timber panelling and flexible joinery, which allows the client to display, rotate and curate his extensive, inspired art collection within the space.
Here are a few of our other favourites amongst this year’s winners.
Premier Award for Australian Interior Design: Chenchow Little for Darling Point Apartment, NSW
Interior Design Impact Award: Breathe Architecture for The Commons, VIC
Sustainability Advancement Award and the Workplace Design Award: Nielsen Workshop & Morgan Jenkins Architecture for North Lakes Office Fitout, QLD
Hospitality Design Award: Arent&Pyke with Spaceagency for Alex Hotel, WA
