Going from strength to strength, the 2019 Workspace Awards saw the most exciting submissions in the history of the program, and here’s who took home gold…
The end of a 12 month journey, the 2019 Workspace Awards program saw a celebration of design, industry, architecture and inspiration. Held at Sydney’s Beta Bar on October 18, a full house of entrants, design participants and industry partners gathered to celebrate the finest in design, as well as dine, mingle and enjoy the MC skills of Jarrod Walsh.
With entrants from all across the country, and an overall 300 per cent increase in entries and 80 per cent increase in new submissions, the Workspace judging panel certainly had a difficult task on their hands.
The inclusion of new categories, Sustainability and Emerging Designer and the expansion into a Residential Category ensured the continued growth and diversification of the awards base.
“We were thrilled to be part of the Workspace Awards this year – a really generous & well considered awards program,” remarked Ben Edwards from Studio Edwards, “At the presentation night in Sydney we had the opportunity to meet product suppliers, sponsors & other designers. Building new friendships & future working relationships. Winning an award was a huge honour & we were flattered to be amongst so many stand out projects work across a range of categories. Thank you, Workspace!”
The 2019 awards show is the third time Workspace has run the program, which was launched to provide opportunities for independent designers as well as small, medium and large firms alike to participate on a level playing field, ensuring Australian design excellence can be at the forefront.
We join Workspace in congratulating the winning entries and thanking all sponsors, including trophy event partner Acoufelt and travel partner Kaleidoscopic Travel. Take a look over the night that was, and join us in getting exciting for the Workspace Awards in 2020!
