Finally, a surface material that cares for the environment whilst retaining a superior quality and finish.
July 15th, 2009
Kinnarps Australia, the leading environmental total office furniture suppliers, introduce their new surface material for workstations.
The new 100% recyclable work top finish is 100 per cent recyclable, cost effective and ensures every space a sleek, professional appearance.
This material stands out in its market and breaks boundaries in the way it was developed with a profound consideration towards the environment.
The new work top finish uses no glue or veneer but maintains a high quality, paint-like finish that is available in any colour or pattern to suit different workstations and convey the specific message of every office space.
Indistinguishable from real wood it can be ordered in birch, beech and oak effect to instil any area with a hint of nature, a symbolic touch as the product itself supports its very protection.
Not only is the surface completely recyclable, but studies have shown that it is 75 per cent more resistant to aging than veneered surfaces and Abrasion tests prove it to be two and a half times more durable than melamine.
Further ensuring this surface material is accessible to all budgets, Kinnarps has developed the product using chipboard –itself a recycled product- thereby reducing the need to stock various veneers and melamine and cleverly achieving ultimate cost and resource efficiency.
Once again ensuring environmental impact is kept to a bare minimum, the production process only utilizes solvent-free fluids, ensuring significantly lower ecological repercussions than traditional finishing methods.
Managing Director of Kinnarps Australia, Phillip Ebbersten, is confident in the product, upholding that “…the fantastic new product will be favourably received as it reduces the environmental footprint while retaining access to products of the great quality and contemporary design to maintain the highest office standards.”
This new surface material will be on display at the Kinnarps showroom in Surry Hills Central for Saturday in Design.
