GECA-approved workstation system offering utmost flexibility for a collaborative workspace.
October 14th, 2009
A recent trip to Europe’s leading furniture fair provided inspiration for the QUAD desking evolution that was to become… QUAD PDB.
Head Office Group Director, Ross Hanley, had been considering solutions for the “next step” in Head Office Group’s premium workstation system, QUAD. The parameters called for increased workspace, concealment and segregation of services wiring and, above all, the flexibility to adapt to project driven needs.
Influenced by the latest European style and design trends, Head Office Group launched QUAD PDB, an Australian designed and made range of ducted, easy-to-reconfigure workstations, where total workspace is maximised.’¨’¨
The result is seamless. Running the length of QUAD PDB’s desking is a central spine – the Power Data Beam. Containing all electrical and data wiring, with face-mounted services outlets, the beam eliminates hanging cords below the desktop. Protecting these services is a series of segmented face-plates which can be clipped off at any point in the desk for easy access and reconfiguration of service outlets. The highly-accessible nature of this above desk services duct also improves occupational health and safety.
QUAD PDB brings new meaning to the term ‘economy of space’. The central spine supports desking accessories such as shelves, trays, pinboards and more – all of which can be easily added and removed, leaving the workspace clear for just that: work. Shelves also alternate front-to-back, so that users have lots of available desk space, un-cluttered by pencil-canisters and in-trays. ’¨ ’¨
“Business must be dynamic,” says Hanley. “When working on specific assignments a project team may, for example, 6 positions can be re-configured to accommodate 8 staff overnight. QUAD PDB is flexible to today’s working conditions. It allows you to create your own workspace, varying power and data requirements, altering shelving and storage needs, and changing screen height, all in a matter of minutes.”’¨ ’¨
QUAD PDB comes with a lifetime guarantee of support and advice from Head Office Group, who will happily come to your office and assist you to reconfigure your workstation, help with any problems or suggest better solutions. In addition to this, the range can be supplied to specifiers within three to six weeks.’¨ ’¨
