New lighting concept switched on to architectural needs.
March 1st, 2010
Zumtobel’s Mellow Light V, designed by James Irvine provides a new concept in lighting and blends state-of-the art quality with optimum efficiency.
Irvine says the new product caters for today’s increased blurring of the lines between the design and architecture world.
“The classic design of Mellow Light V has been adjusted to meet modern architectural requirements (and) further development of the successful Mellow Light concept, in terms of both technology and design.”
The lighting technology, thermal management and development of advanced optical systems have culminated in the product setting a new benchmark in lighting.
Lenticular lenses disperse the light to provide even brightness distribution, creating a “mellow” appearance.
Today’s contemporary light sources offer a variety of features dependent on application with Zumtobel Lighting’s range including traditional fluorescent versions with T5, a new compact fluorescent lamp option and a high efficiency LED solution optimised for a variety of applications.
Zumtobel guarantees stable, pure, white LED lighting with an engine design set to maximise energy efficiency, whilst maintaining excellent colour stability and colour rendition throughout the unit’s service life, rated at 50,000 hours.
The much anticipated Mellow Light V is being launched at Light+Building in April 2010 in Frankfurt.
