Now in its 60th year, Salone del Mobile in Milan is the largest furniture fair of its kind, showcasing the latest in furniture and design from countries around the world. Participating for the 33rd time at the prestigious event, Pedrali presented twelve new collections through #PedraliNewHorizons in a setting created by the Milanese studio Calvi Brambilla.

New outdoor collections take centre stage

With the aim of bringing the same quality and care of indoor furniture to the outdoors, the Arki-Sofa was born. Recalling the extruded aluminium frame and the linear, rigorous shapes of the successful Arki collection, first launched ten years ago, this outdoor lounge seating system provides the comfort of an indoor sofa with added durability and weatherproofing for outdoor use.

A natural evolution of the Reva Twist sofa, the Reva Cocoon by Patrick Jouin is a system of outdoor lounge seats made up of linear and corner elements and chaise lounges, elevated by striking backrests available in two different heights in stainless steel woven with rope in weather-resistant polypropylene. The new Babila Twist, a steel armchair designed by Odo Fioravanti, also emphasises the use of cord in its large and welcoming woven body.

Available in chair or armchair versions, Souvenir is the new seating collection by Eugeni Quitllet. It echoes the shape of the classic green chairs of the Jardin des Tuileries or the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, reinterpreted in materials designed for outdoor use, including a version in recycled polypropylene.

Other highlights include the Nolita sofa and Panarea barstool, both designed by CMP Design. The Nolita sofa features simple and iconic shapes and a steel tube structure that provide visual rhythm and gentle proportions. The new Panarea barstool’s wide and curved backrest woven in polypropylene cord adds a touch of three-dimensionality and graphical rigour.

The new Lamorisse seating collection, also by CMP Design, was the fitting centrepiece of the Mediterranean terrace setting. Ideal for a waterfront veranda, shaded outdoor areas, as a poolside table, and even on a ship deck, Lamorisse’s lightweight structure in extruded aluminium, with oval legs welded to round tube armrests, holds a large and enveloping cushion.

Progressive furniture for modern interiors

Moving from outdoors to indoors, the Blume system by Sebastian Herkner is a set of furnishings that echo the sophisticated flower-shaped profile in extruded aluminium. The modules create a variety of configurations: from a two-level bedside table, to a three or four-level shelving system.

Designed as a set of miniature architectures, Jeff is a new modular sofa system designed by Patrick Norguet. Suited for spaces with a strong and modern personality, this collection is characterised by organically-shaped seats that subtly contrast with the more geometric and rigorous shapes of the backrest and armrests.

The Héra Lounge armchair by Patrick Jouin embodies the lightness and comfort of natural materials, with its curved wood backrest that merge smoothly into its rectangular legs. Connectivity with nature is further enhanced by Hevea, a pot-holder consisting of a central steel stem to which polypropylene pots are hung, obtaining different configurations based on their number and position.
