Calm and concentration //
The SenSit is a sensory-stimulating chair that provides security and calm and increased levels of concentration among users. The chair has been developed via theories of sensory integration, whereby pressure at trigger points from the filling of flexible plastic balls stimulates tactile, muscle and joint sensation. The numerous sensory perceptions send impulses to the central nervous system, which has a soothing effect and leads to greater bodily awareness and improved well-being.
Applications in practice //
SenSit has countless applications, and is today specified in many education, health and aged-care therapy projects. The primary feature of the chair has been proven to boost concentration levels and increased ability to perform mental tasks which demand full attention.
Therapy and training //
The SenSit chair is used by therapists and professionals as a tool for stimulation in sensory rooms and controlled multisensory environments (MSE). The chair can also be used in connection with preliminary treatment so that the user’s muscles are relaxed and he or she feels calm, collected and ready to commence motor-skill training.
