Classic meets contemporary in a bold and whimsical new Parisian hotel.
June 27th, 2012
Set inside a Haussman-era heritage building in Paris’ 9th arrondissement, the latest in the W Hotels series combines Paris chic with the energy of New York, where the brand first launched in 1998.
Designed by W Global Brand Design and Rockwell Group Europe with consulting from GCA Architects, W Paris-Opéra references the history of its building through ornamented columns, vaulted ceilings and other period touches.
The central design feature is a programmable wall of light that recurs throughout the hotel’s public spaces and can be changed according to mood or season.
