BEE Design and Sean’s Kitchen: the first step in reconceptualising Star City.
October 1st, 2008
Sean’s Kitchen, a $6 million project by BEE Design, opened in September 2008 at Sydney’s Star City. At the helm of this dynamic restaurant is Executive Chef and Restaurateur Sean Connelly (Sydney Morning Herald Chef of the Year 2007).
The restaurant is divided into ‘touch points’ – areas divided by different cuisine options and decor – allowing patrons different dining experiences with each visit. These ‘touch-points’ include the Tapas Bar, the Ocean Shelf and the Patio Bar & Lounge.
The 300-seat dining room offers patrons a moody atmosphere and environment, complemented by the Mediterranean inspired interiors – with its earthy hues of red and brown and dramatic lighting.
However, the most intriguing aspect of the dining experience comes in the form of multiple open kitchens, allowing patrons to witness the theatre of the kitchen and culinary artistry of the kitchen staff.
