The Pedrali Urban Life stand, designed by Migliore + Servetto Architects for the 55th edition of Salone del Mobile in Milan, recently received the Red Dot Award 2015 for the Communication Design category.
The project placed the visitor at the centre of a kaleidoscopic urban setting to explore Pedrali’s latest proposals. A skyline made up of a succession of house shaped silhouettes reproduced an urban landscape created through the lightness of opalescent Lexan profiles.
The central square – surrounded by views over the interior of the houses that hosted different furniture collections offered different spaces for rest and sharing emphasised by tall portals. This space opened up to the reception area and the raised back lounge. From here it was possible to access to a restricted zone: an exhibition space but also a hospitality area for follow-up meetings.
Red Dot Award is the international prize issued by Red Dot Institute constituted by a jury of 26 design experts that rewards the best products and projects of the year. In the current competition, the international experts discussed and evaluated entries from 46 countries. The awards ceremony will take place on 4th of November 2016 at Konzerthaus in Berlin.
