A fresh and forward-looking design concept exclusively for the design hunter community, Indesign: The Event will bring the Hong Kong design scene alive in ways previously unimagined.
September 17th, 2013
With a highly unique and immersive format, Indesign: The Event will take design out of the expo hall and into the showrooms, where creativity is at its best. Already a great success in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Singapore, the Indesign format will now connect creatives across Hong Kong and the Region for the first time in November this year.
“Hong Kong is a wonderful city,” says Herman Miller’s Asia Pacific Vice President, Jeremy Hocking, “and it has a very busy and progressive design scene.”
“We, and our dealers, have always been active participants in Indesign events for many years in Australia and Singapore. So, it is fitting so see the event come to Hong Kong.”
Celebrating Hong Kong’s unique and sophisticated design-scene, Hong Kong Indesign: The Event will expand over 20 locations, incorporating the city’s best retailers, designers and manufacturers in creative installations, exclusive launches and insightful workshops. ‘The Project’, which will bring creative collaborations to new heights under the theme of ‘Rhythm’, is also sure to transform showrooms into a unique and stimulating environment.
The event will be an exciting opportunity for Regional exhibitors to show the industry what they are all about. With a chance to showcase creativity, and communicate to an expected 4000 visitors, Hong Kong: The Event will be a truly unique experience for the local design community. As Jasper Chia, Director of FUUR Associates recognized, “the event will create an amazing opportunity to network with fellow designers and architects.”
There is a certain kind of pulse that defines Hong Kong from the rest of the design world. And Hong Kong Indesign: The Event will celebrate all things great about it.
