Leading Australian furniture manufacturer MAP reboots its design brand with a new collection available at Schiavello.
July 26th, 2017
Schiavello has relaunched MAP: Makers of Australian Products – a pioneering brand that it acquired in 2013. With continuing creative direction from founder Chris Connell, the brand aims to draw from the Schiavello’s deep-rooted understanding of the Australian and international design markets.
The latest collection emphasises Schiavello’s continual effort to remain at the forefront of innovative production technologies.
The range of pieces comes together in synergy to explore the relationship between object and place, and how each interacts with and establishes the meaning of the another.
The collection features a broad and aesthetically diverse range of pieces to reflect the dynamism of modern living, including; the Lean storage units, a flexible assortment of sleek compartments able to adapt to the spatial dimensions of any space; the bold yet seemingly weightless Plane tables, available in a mix of zesty citrus colours; the classic, timber-oriented Rib chair and barstool; the two-toned collection of Split tables available in an expansive range of heights and widths to suit any office or home setting; as well as the linear and spatially open Wire bar stool, chair and lounge.
Says Anton Schiavello: “As Australia enters an exciting phase of design, we strive to be a key contributor by combining our iconic design aesthetic with updated technologies and new materials. It’s our clear vision and instinctive understanding of the industry, which will empower us to provide customers all around the world with the best of Australian design for years to come.”
