Jon Gasca has designed a decorative noise-reduction wall panel system for the STUA Collection, called Satellite.
October 7th, 2011
It’s easy to forget that these Satellite wall panels from STUA were actually designed to absorb noise and reduce sound. With their quirky shapes and different colours, they could easily pass for a decorative wall installation.

Created in the same shapes as STUA’s Eclipse tables, the wall panels tie create a nice visual connection in an interior space.
The playful form is achieved by cladding a wooden board with noise-reduction foam, then covering it with fabrics from the STUA collection.
4 different sizes and shapes and 2 depths enable the panels to be placed in various configurations, partially layering each other for a 3-dimensional effect. The wide range of colours available in the STUA collection makes for limitless design possibilities.
The panels can be rotated once they are fixed to the wall, thanks to an easy suspension system – so the design can even be changed from day to day.
