The third edition of Art Stage Singapore concluded successfully, with the fair recording significant sales and a marked increase in visitor numbers.
February 5th, 2013
Art Stage Singapore 2013 (24-27 Jan) welcomed 40,500 visitors. Many of them, says Art Stage, were first-time fairgoers including artists, collectors, curators and members of the media. Galleries reported good sales, and meaningful meetings with many new local, regional and international buyers and institutions.
“Art Stage Singapore has made a great start to 2013,” said Lorenzo Rudolf, Fair Director. “Last year was a challenging year for many art fairs, galleries and artists, and we had to work hard to improve on many aspects of the fair. I’m pleased to see that our efforts have been rewarded.”
Says Rudolf, “Our key focus on Southeast Asia is absolutely right – we have created an internationally competitive platform to promote emerging and established artists from the region.”
