Surry Hills welcomes Bowermans’ latest commercial furniture studio.
April 3rd, 2025
Bowermans – a purveyor of commercial furniture in Australia for over 75 years – has inaugurated a new studio within the Surry Hills Design Precinct. The space affords businesses, designers and architects the opportunity to engage with a diverse repertoire of workspace solutions.
Sequestered in Surry Hills, the showroom exhibits furniture tailored for offices, hospitality venues and educational institutions. It is delineated into zones that articulate key collections, including workstations, desks, chairs, tables and storage configurations. A Product Library comprising over 100 samples facilitates a tactile evaluation of materials and finishes.

“Workspaces are evolving, and our new Surry Hills showroom is designed to inspire businesses as they reimagine their environments,” says Gavin Williams, Group Head of Commercial Sales at Space Group. “We believe that well-designed workplaces empower and engage employees, and this new space allows our clients to explore a wide range of adaptable and future-proof furniture solutions.”
The showroom integrates plywood, brick and pine to establish a neutral yet textured backdrop for the collections. Bowermans furnishes a breadth of sectors, including hospitality, government, corporate, education, healthcare and retail, with offerings that adhere to certifications namely AFRDI Blue Tick, BIFMA, AFRDI Green Tick, GECA, FSC & PEFC and GreenTag.
The showroom is now accessible, showcasing acquired pieces from Italy’s Billiani and Infiniti, alongside collections from Nowystyl, a European furniture manufacturer.
