Designed and made in Melbourne, the xLocker2 range is a customisable, sustainably designed steel storage solution. Ideal for commercial, educational, sports, hospitality and residential markets alike, the xLocker2 has become a favourite of the architectural, interior and design industries across Australia, and this latest award confirms its excellence.
The Good Design Award in the Product Design category recognises the xLocker2’s outstanding design, aesthetic charm, and innovative execution. The judging panel remarked on the xLocker2 saying, “A pleasing example of the typology, the locking system is of merit and has a strong aesthetic that integrates well. Overall the design is well resolved, and the power management is extremely well considered. Almost bespoke capabilities are available out of pre-configured options, which is a huge benefit to the end-user. Commonality of components and design for modularity allows the customer to design a customised storage system that can be tailored to different contexts within the workplace. Visually, everything just comes together seamlessly making this a highly popular choice in the growing mobile office storage market. Well done.”
The xLocker2 was designed by Jean-Pierre Jardel and Leo Ryner, who imbue the product with a sense of commonality within the components, modularity in execution, and efficacy in the design delivery process.
For modern working environments, the xLocker2 offers the ideal solution no matter the spatial design – reconfigurable and modular, the system can be configured to fit the space and connected together to create design harmony. The patented design allows for data and power reticulation and the joining of units with varying height and width with ease, creating role-specific locker banks and spatial differentiation within the project.
