Modtec design and manufacture workspace productivity tools for Integ, with a focus on modular monitor arms. They became a diecasting and tool manufacturing business in 1979, and as early as 2000, they developed the Integ range of modular monitor arms to supply the growing LCD monitor market in the UK.

Since then, they’ve won a number of awards, including NZTE Best Use of Design in International Business and numerous DiNZ Design awards, and Modtec’s products for Integ are distributed in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, China, India and the US through leading workstation manufacturers.

Modtec have found that their customers’ needs can be distilled to the three principles of ‘ESP’, i.e. Ergonomics, Space saving and Productivity. The productivity gains to be had from a balance of aesthetics and ergonomics are now widely acknowledged; commercial entities have realised the importance of employee wellbeing. Modtec is able to offer the best return on investment with a space saving modular design that allows for flexibility.

Modtec’s clients include Wells Fargo, Commonwealth Bank, BMW and a range of hospitals. Their range of self-developed modular components allow them to customise unique solutions for each customer – their products are used in large commercial fit-outs such as banks, telecommunications and legal offices and anywhere that employees regularly work with IT, making ergonomics and productivity critical factors.
