Retail surfaces are put under plenty of stress on a daily basis – from constant contact to spills and more. Thankfully, Staron is up to the job.
Durable, hard wearing, renewable and non-porous – these are the qualities of a good surface. For retail environments, these qualities must be of the highest standard. When developing Staron Solid Surfaces, the Austaron team had these criteria in mind, knowing that retail projects required only the best in surface solutions.

One of the defining aspects of Staron Solid Surfaces is the sleek way in which the material comes together. The inconspicuous joins in the surface not only make cleaning an easy task, but prevent dirt and germs from being trapped in the surface itself. The non-porous nature also ensures that no stain is ever permanent, which makes it an even more appealing choice in the design process for high impact surfaces in retail projects.

The flexible nature of the surface means it is possible to create any design imaginable. Through thermoforming, a designer can create curves and shapes of any size, which means unique counter tops, display walls and more can be installed in the retail space.
Staron Solid Surfaces can also be transparent and semi-transparent, to allow for unique backlighting to create an impact in the retail space. Unique designs can also be etched into the surface to add that extra flourish to a space.
The creation of Staron Solid Surfaces is handled by Lotte Chemical, and is manufactured from a safe, natural mineral refined from bauxite and blended with pure acrylic resin. The resulting high performance surface can be coloured to suit any project, with 90 colours to select from, and is designed to be the hardest wearing and clean surface available for the retail design sector.

Staron is also a repairable and renewable surface solution. After years of heavy use in a retail space, the surface can simply be sanded and restored back to its original lustre, confirming its ability to remain at the highest quality long after it has been installed.
Architects, interior designers, retails, builders and consumers alike across the world enjoy the benefits of Staron Solid Surfaces, so when you next project needs that final flourish that’s hard wearing, clean, and malleable to any design idea, think of Staron.
