This year the French museum, Musée Réattu in Arles, invited renowned fashion designer Christian Lacroix to decorate 800m2 of the renaissance palace.
Born in Arles in 1951 Lacroix worked hard to make a name for himself in French fashion, but he is now well known for his opulent, fantastical creations. At the inauguration of the Musée Réattu, ege carpets, designed by Lacroix, were beautifully presented in the historic surrounds of the museum.
The ege design team successfully rose to the challenge of executing the reproductions, finishes, precisions, shapes and colours created by the brilliant Christian Lacroix. The carpets used the latest production technologies, pushing the boundaries of possibility in textile flooring.
Rugs Carpet & Design are exclusive distributors of ege carpets in Australia and specialise in custom-made rug and carpet designs. Be inspired by the work of Lacroix or work with the Rugs Carpet & Design team to create your own unique masterpiece.
Their team of experienced consultants can provide product advice, technical information, artwork presentation, sampling, design/colour consultancy and installation services.
