What does your company supply?
Tomako is an Australian Manufacturer of table support systems and chairs for the Corporate, Government, Education & Hospitality markets. These products are all designed with quality, strength, durability and sustainability in mind.
What is the history of your company?
Tomako began in 1974, predominantly marketing the iconic TSB Chair. In recent years, we have evolved into a business that services many commercial furniture needs, and are renowned for our flexibility, reliability, and the strength and stability of our products.
Where do you distribute?
Australia-wide through a broad network of re-sellers in each state.
Describe your customers?
Our customers are discerning purchasers of fine metal table support systems and chairs, who appreciate value for money, quality, Australian products manufactured in a sustainable environment.
What sets your company apart?
Tomako is the only company in Australia to have AFRDI Blue Tick Certification on their table bases for strength & stability.
Tomako is also certified to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004, as well as being Carbon Neutral as a company.
As a local manufacturer, Tomako has the flexibility to alter standard products in order to meet project-specific requirements.

What are your client’s priorities at the moment?
As always, our clients are seeking quality, aesthetically pleasing furniture solutions at a reasonable price, with reliability and service being very important. The greatest additional priority in the industry is for these products to meet stringent sustainability requirements.
What is good design to you?
To us, design is about understanding the market’s needs and developing a solution for those needs. These solutions need to take into account value and quality, whilst meeting the sustainability requirements of our business.
What does the future hold?
Tomako’s goal is to continue developing as a truly sustainable business. Within this framework, we are developing new products which will improve our ability to meet the needs of current and potential clients.
