Art Hide launched in Australia in May, kicking off with a major commission for a new Perth restaurant.
May 25th, 2011
The idea for Art Hide was born when Founding Director Kura Perkins travelled to Argentina and discovered the work of local artisan traders.
The rug that inspired her was “like nothing [she’d] seen before. It was an amazing design, with a soft and silky texture. The rug construction and stitching were beautiful and of extremely high quality,” said Perkins.
Now available in Australia, Art Hide promises a collection of natural floor rugs in a range of designs, with bespoke design also offered by the company.
Sentinel Bar and Grill in Perth’s CBD is the first project to feature an Art Hide product – a gradient wall piece in soft caramel, rich chocolate and dark black/brown that creates a striking contrast with the surrounding jarrah and glass surfaces.
Don’t miss Art Hide at Saturday in Design this year, where you can experience the company’s product range first-hand. In the meantime, visit their website for more information on their designs.
